Lesli Jaimes, Owner/Director

Lesli Jaimes and her husband Froylan currently live in Conroe, Texas with their two children, Nathan (11 years) and Nailea (22 years).  They are moving to Jamestown to be closer to family and enjoy the small-town life Jamestown has to offer.  

Lesli is a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant at an elementary school.  She works with grades Kinder through 2nd, helping students with reading, writing, math, and behavior.  In working with these students, Lesli has found a passion for helping students find their full potential and helping them grow.  It is from this passion that The Learning Tree was established.  Lesli believes The Learning Tree can make a difference by helping children be prepared for kindergarten and by fostering a lifelong love of learning in every child.

Lesli has over ten years of experience working with children and over fifteen years management experience working with seniors 55+.  Her full career has been dedicated to serving our youngest and oldest community members.  Lesli is very excited for the opportunity to work with your family!  

Jaelynn Whitley and her husband Matthew live in Jamestown, Kansas with their son Keith Whitley (12 months.) Jaelynn moved to Jamestown in 2018 to be closer to Matthew. In June 2022 Jaelynn and Matthew got married. Soon after getting married, they found out they were expecting a baby boy. In March 2023, Keith Whitley made his appearance into the world.

Jaelynn went to high school in Atwood, Kansas. Growing up Jaelynn always babysat for her neighbors and as she went through high school, she really enjoyed the idea of working with children. After graduating high school Jaelynn graduated from Mid-Plains Community College in McCook, Nebraska and received her Early Childhood Certificate and Associates of Science in 2018. While in school she worked at the Ed Thomas YMCA and the college tutoring in math, teaching swim lessons, lifeguarding, and coaching basketball and softball for the younger children. 

In 2018, Jaelynn transferred to Fort Hays State University to finish her education online while working as a Para for Concordia Elementary School. In 2022, Jaelynn completed her student teaching in 1st grade, and then received her Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education Degree. After graduating Jaelynn took a teaching position in Special Education at Concordia Elementary.

Jaelynn has 7 years of experience working with children. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with your family!
